Eda And, composer, pianist, arranger, was born December 1988 in Izmir, Turkey to a musician family. At age 8, she received her first piano lessons from her mom. She also had her first experience playing jazz with Kursat And, her father and bassist. In 2003, she began piano studies at Dokuz Eylul University Izmir State Conservatory. She graduated in 2007 from the department of piano. She attended masterclasses in classical piano and workshops by Pavel Gililov at Mozarteum Summer Academy Salzburg during her piano studies. Eda specialized in Jazz music and composition after her classical piano studies. She performed at the 13th Izmir.
