Dominik Strycharski, flutist, leads the group. They combine jazz styles with psychedelic rock and add some ethnic elements as well as modern electronics. Similar to their debut record, the second is written in the same language, but the stress and proportions are different. Aleksander Papierz seems more oriented in jazz than Piotr Rachon, and they exchanged keyboards. The rhythm of the drums is the basis of most of the compositions. This combines jazz and rock with breakbeat electronics and themes and improvisations. There are many ways to express yourself, from elements from the club scene to paraphrases of radical rock or metal (“Vulgaris”)). The album’s colour is decided by the leader who can play a variety of electronic flutes. Strycharski has the ability to produce hypnotic whistles, hypnotic whizzes, sinister, harsh sounds, or caustic distortion noises. He can mimic both the folk pipes as well as the transformed guitar. The electronic sounds, which include modified vocal effects and ambient spots, can be linked to some of Laswell’s works, or groups like Charged. The idea behind Pulsarus’ music was to create a multi-style open-ended formula for futuristic free improvisation. The effect can be quite captivating in small fragments, but it can sometimes only be showy. If Strycharski has exuberant experimentation aspirations that he isn’t able to control enough, the result could easily become a mumble. It is too little content and too much sculpture, to put it simply. It would be better to have more condensed material. Papierz raises the intensity and temperature. Papierz’s performance can make the music high-energy, energetic and impetuous. He doesn’t hide behind electronics and avoids empty explorations of sound, giving the show of first-rate expression. His performance is compact, sharp, but lucid. Sometimes, it is very close to music by Ellery Eskelin (even if we hear a lot of alto, rarely soprano), or Zorn. The guest Tomek, who plays the guitar in “Suite per Capita”, also performs brilliantly – his spacious, vibrating, dreamy, predatory, and whimsical phrases create a dreamy or unreal atmosphere. It is generally more interesting than the debut record. Pulsarus’ musicians have the potential to create their own language in 2004. Pulsarus is a futuristic, but still lively jazz group. Dominik Stry1995-2003 created the group. Tone Industria released the debut album “Digital Freejazz” in May 2005. It was well received and gained international recognition. The group appeared in 2005 at Mazzola ArtRhythmic Depot in Gdansk. It also performed at Warsaw Summer Days in 2005 and 2006, at JAZ Festival in Zabrze, and at Slot Art Festival. They also played at Rura in Wroclaw and other jazz clubs. Tone Industria also published the second album, “Squared Rotoscope”. It’s a development of the group’s style, referring to new achievements in electronics and sampling. It’s applied live to instrumental music. This new sound is more selective and based upon many levels. It outlines the relationships between the element improvisation and the structure that follows the specific rules. Since August 2005, Pulsarus Trio has been performing in the following composition: DominikStrycharski: electronic recorders Aleksander Papierz – vocalist, electro- we hope that they will improve their concepts. Dominik Strycharski, electronic recorders Aleksander Paperz, saxophones JakubRutkowski – drums Tomasz Giwincinski, guitars. The group made their debut in summer 2003. They released a record in Plawnowice as well as giving a concert at Alchemia (Alchemy), Cracow. They were part of Janucharski’s earlier projects in Silesia Region, including Hipnoza in Katowice and Aurora in Warsaw. The original composition suggests ted club beats, hard riffs, and free jazz improvisations. The group’s sound oscillates between acoustic austerity and electronic manipulation of tribal motive force. It also has dynamics with conceptual clarity. To achieve the desired effect, different music styles are used. There are two sides to the story: the surface and the background. The listener must hear the music. The sound and energy that exceeds the archetype cal performance. Dominik Strycharski: flutist, vocalist, composer. His first band was the avant-garde group Nimptsz. He is currently working on jazz and futuristic orientation. The group’s music is a mixture of experimental rock, theatre music, and contemporary music. Pulsarus is a modern concept; it’s crazy and reflects the spirit of our times. Their openness to all forms of music is the best aspect of the band. We can find in their repertoire polystylistic arrangements and new jazz themes as well as deconstruction and space. Pulsarus’ rhythm is essential. It allows for reconciliaof electronic trio or classical jazz, and makes space. Tone Industria also provides specific theatria. They performed at Warsaw Summer twice to experiment, groove jazz, and new electronics. This also applies to his own trio, Pulsarus. Tone Industria released their first album, “Digital Freejazz”. Pulsarus “Squared Rotoscope”, the new record by Pulsarus, is a continuation of the idea of an acoustic-electronic trio. It is made up of electronic recorders, saxophones and acoustic instruments. The majority of the record is jazz, rock, and electronics. They attempt to create their own, resulting synthesis by combining tribal austerity with brutality with conceptual play and space. They weave their music using this dichotomy. You can hear Tomasz Gwincinski (recognized guitarist), who is also a Loskot drummer and coauthor of Czan. He has composed music for almost thirty spectacles. His participation is both an inspiration and a determining factor in the future of all musicians at Pulsarus. from www.festiwalmuzykiteatralnej.pl
