Quartetski was founded in 2007 by Pierre-Yves Martel. It reimagines and reinterprets great composers in an improvised environment. The ensemble maintains a close relationship with these composers but uses their compositions to experiment with sound. An improvised and ecletic setting combine to create a unique approach to chamber music that blends styles and is sometimes challenging, but always entertaining.
