Spike Wilner

Michael Wilner, also known as Spike, was born in Manhattan, New York. Spike began playing ragtime piano when he was a child. Spike was accepted into the legendary New School For Social Research’s Jazz and Contemporary Music Program. He was then directed by Arnie Lawrence. Spike has performed with many jazz bands in New York City, including The Village Gate. Spike has also toured with The Artie Shaw Big Band and The Glen Miller Orchestra. Maynard Furgeson was also on the tour.
