Peo Alfonsi studied classical guitar at Cagliari Conservatory (Sardinia). After classical studies, his first significant experience was a duo with Massimo ferra. It was awarded the first prize in 1996’s Posada Jazz Project competition. He was invited to the Baden Baden “New Jazz Meeting” in 2001 with musicians such as Michel Godard and Wolfgang Puschnig. He joined the World Sinfonia quartete e sextet led by Al di Meola in 2005. They continue to tour all over the globe with them. He has played with Kenny Wheeler and Pat Metheny as well as Trilok Gurtu and Marc Ribot, Noa, Elena Ledda, Kenny Wheeler, Trilok Gurutu, Marc Ribot, Paolo Fresu and many other musicians.
