Laila Biali, a Canadian Jazz pianist, singer, and songwriter, has been awarded. She has toured with Suzanne Vega and Chris Botti, and also recorded with and supported Sting. She takes the best from pop, rock, and soul and combines it with her knowledge about Jazz to create her musical arrangements. Laila has performed her music at four prestigious venues, including Tokyo’s Cotton Club and Peru’s El Festival Internacional de Lima. Her most recent studio recording Tracing Light was nominated for a JUNO nomination as “2011 Best Vocal Jazz album of the Year”. Live in Concert, which she recorded live in February 2012 at the Glenn Gould Studio, Toronto, Canada captures the essence of Jazz’s live performances.
