Shoshana Bush, a singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, grew up singing American songs and adored Ella and Louis. After receiving a degree from Columbia University in jazz studies, and working with George Lewis and Christine Correa, she returned home to LA where she spent two years gigging, expanding her repertoire. Two sold-out shows at Catalina Jazz Club in November 2010 and August 2011 were highlights of her years. Shoshana returned to New York after recording a demo CD. After gigging for two years around the city, Shoshana developed a reputation and confidence that only NYC can provide. Shoshana returned to Los Angeles in January 2013 and was funded by a successful kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. She recorded her first live album, Shoshana Bush.
