Tobie is currently involved in a new Organ Trio project, as leader, and co-leading “The Jigsaw Project”, an international collaboration with Alex Woods. Tobie’s debut album, “The Lobbus”, was released as a band leader and composer in 2012. Tobie has been featured on The Jonathan Silk Big Band’s album ‘Uncouth, Holly Thomas’s song ‘The Passing of the Storm’, and Mulele Matondo Afrika’s song ‘Biso Pasi. Recent performances include Ronnie Scott’s in London, Club Bonafide in New York, Symphony Hall (Birmingham), and EFG London Jazz Festivals, Cheltenham Jazz Festivals and Marlbrough Jazz Festivals. International performances include Cape Town, South Africa, New York (USA), Bozcaada Turkey and Engelsholm Denmark. Tobie has recorded and performed with many of the UK’s top Jazz musicians including Joshua Blackmore (Troyka), Tom Cawley (Tom Cawley Trio), Joshua Blackmore, Nadim Teimoori (“Stan Tracey Quartet”), Tim Giles (“Stan Sulzmann Quartet,” James Allsopp Quartet”), Alexander Davis (Jason Marsalis Quartet”), Shane Forbes (Empirical”), among others.
