Peggy Connelly, September 25, 1931 – June 11 2007, was an actress and singer. Connelly was raised in Fort Worth and born in Shreveport in Louisiana. Connelly was a singer-actress who started her career with the Fort Worth-Dallas dance band, Harvey Anderson’s. Peggy Connelly recorded an album of standards in 1956 for Bethlehem Records. It was reissued by Fresh Sound, Russell Garcia’s Wigville Band. She also recorded two albums together with The New Christy Minstrels. She married Dick Martin in 1957. In the 1960s, they divorced. Connelly starred in The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing (1955), Houseboat (58), and the television series Take a Good Look With Ernie Kovacs. In the 1970s she moved to Europe and performed as a solo act until the mid-90s when she joined Sarah Tullamore, Wendy Taylor and formed The Jazzberries. From Wikipedia
