The award-winning Crescent Super Band was founded in 2001 by Caleb Chapman and has been frequently hailed as one the most professional bands to be entirely made up of young musicians. The band has performed at some of the most prestigious music festivals around the globe, including in France, Switzerland, Italy, France, and the Netherlands. They also have a strong presence in the United States, with recent performances in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Washington DC and Washington DC. Their headline performance at Carnegie Hall in May 2013 will be the crowning moment of their careers. Since 2007, the Crescent Super Band has been awarded the coveted Downbeat Award by DownBeat Magazine. This award recognizes the band as one of the top in the country. The band also received nine “Best of Stateā awards for Utah, seven consecutive years as the “Best Professional Band in any genre”. They have been awarded the “Best of State Statue Award”, which recognizes the band as the best organization in Arts and Entertainment in Utah. This honor is a win over every other professional music, arts and film group. Many of today’s most prominent artists have also been drawn to them. The band has performed with more than 200 guest artists since its inception, including Grammy-winners Joe Lovano and Bob Mintzer.
