Brandi Disterheft, a Canadian composer and bassist, is Brandi. Disterheft was born in the District North Vancouver, British Columbia. She attended Handsworth Secondary School. After graduating, Disterheft was awarded a scholarship to Humber College in Toronto. She studied under Don Thompson. Disterheft also studied with Rodney Whitaker and Rufus Reid.
