Nicolas Chkifi, drummer and sound artist Gregor Siedl have been a close-knit group for many years. They share a passion for improvisational music and a common drive. Their second album, el NEGOCITO Records, focuses on humanized electronics as well as beastly batting. Nicolas is a jazz fanatic with a passion for African rhythms, jazz and a natural talent for yoga. Gregor, on the other hand, has a background in sound art, Marxist philosophy, and botanophilia. DOKO is the name of the band. It’s a Japanese term that can be translated to mean “Where?” ยป that captures the essence of their musical ventures. The music’s spirit shines brightest when it is able to navigate into the unknown.
