She is currently pursuing a Masters in classical composition at The Conservatory of Amsterdam. In June 2009, she received her Bachelor Degree in Jazz Piano with Honors from Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen. She was studying jazz piano at Purchase Collage, New York in 2008 while she was completing her Bachelor Degree in Jazz Piano. She graduated from High School for Music Ljubljana in 2005 (jazz departement). She performed her solo piano concert on Jazz Festival Ljubljana in 2012, which was released by Clean Feed Records. Her Acropolis Quintet was named one of the top three European groups for 12 points in 2011. Plus program. She premiered her Concerto for Piano u0026 Katarchestra, “Perseus”, in 2010 as composer and pianist. She was in New York from September to December 2009, where she studied privately with Jason Moran and Vijay Iyer. She released “Turku”, her third album as a leader in Acropolis Quartet. She was awarded the Deloitte Jazz Award in April 2009. She was also working with Vince Mendoza, Metropole Orchestra and the same year. She released “Akropola”, her second album, in summer 2008. This was her first album with her quartet. She has been a member of European Movement Jazz Orchestra since 2007 (debut CD with Clean Feed Records – “Live In Coimbra”), for which she was comissioned as a composer. She released her first CD in 2007 with Katarchestra, presenting herself as both a composer and conductor. She also composed an accordion and orchestra concerto entitled Orpheus and Eurydice in 2007. This was recorded and performed by Janez Davyc and the Slovenian Philharmony Orchestra. The HSP Hyugens Scholarship has supported her studies in the Netherlands. Acropolis Quintet is her leader. She also founded BadBooshBand. She has been commissioned by Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and Metropole Orchestra to write music for Looptail, Big Band RTV Slovenian Instabile Orchestra (Italian Instabile Orchestra), Romana Krajncan.
