Droban-Apherna, a Portuguese experimental instrumental music band, is from Silves in Portugal. It was originally called “Estes” in 2008. Some people call the music style fusion because of the variety of styles used throughout the album and throughout the song. Although Pedro Calquinha (keyboard, guitar, and Andre Marques) formed the band initially, both of them play other instruments, including percussion, bouzouki and mandolin. Three studio albums have been released by the band: Bufus dei (2010), Ablun Maluss108 (2011) and Drubahaal 2011. All albums were recorded by the band members and mixed and mastered by them. They are all free to download from the band’s website. Samuel Silva, the drummer, joined the band after Drubahaal was released. He is currently composing and recording the fourth album.
