East Wind Pot

East Wind Pot, a Japanese band currently formed by Yuko Tsuchiyat (keyboards player, former member of Progressive rock group Theta), is the current leader. A drummer, bass player, and woodwinds (saxophones, clarinets) can all be found. The Musea and Poseidon jointly published the eponymous (2006) album. It features a subtle mix of jazz-rock and aerial jazz, with some Progressive rock hints on the keyboards. These six instrumental pieces were composed by Yuko Takiyat. They often feature a dialogue between woodwinds, organ or synthesizer parts and are in a vein similar to Weather Report, Brand X, and sometimes Chick Corea with regard to the keyboard work. This piece of art is very melodious and suggestive. It also features dynamic drumming. from http://www.waysidemusic.com
