Eastern Standard Time is a group that includes ex-members from the Pietasters and the Checkered Cabs. They also include the Skunks, Skunks, and Downbeat Rulers. The band stayed true to the roots of Jamaican rooted ska of the 1960s and eventually got the opportunity to perform with the Skatalites (Laurel Aitken), Bad Manners, Hep Cat and other ska bands before signing with Beatville Records. Second Hand was the debut full-length album by Eastern Standard Time. It was released in 1998.
