Taylor Eigsti, a New York-based pianist/composer, started playing piano at the age of four. Eigsti, who was born in Menlo Park in California, was immediately labelled a prodigy and has released seven albums as a bandleader as well as appearing on more than 50 albums as an accompanying musician. Eigsti has received multiple GRAMMY Award nominations for his work as a recording artist, composer, and producer, including Best Jazz Instrumental Solo and Best Instrumental Composition. Eigsti co-wrote the featured composition for “Miles Ahead”, the 2017 GRAMMY-winning film soundtrack. Eigsti has shared the stage with many luminaries over the past 30+ years. These include Sting, John Mayer and Esperanza Spalding. Eigsti has traveled extensively internationally with his trio and quartet. He also regularly plays in the regular touring bands of Chris Botti Eric Harland Voyager Kendrick Scott Oracle, Gretchen Parlato, Sachal Vasandani, and Becca Stevens. Eigsti has toured extensively around the globe, with his trio and quartet. He has also performed at the Hollywood Bowl and Salle Pleyel, Red Rocks Amphitheaters, Red Rocks Amphitheaters, Red Rocks Amphitheaters, Red Rocks Amphitheaters, Red Rocks Ampitheaters, Red Rocks Amphitheaters, Red Rocks Amphitheaters, Vienna Konzerthaus and the Davies Symphony Hall. Eigsti was also featured in numerous television specials, NPR appearances and commercials. He composed the music for the motion picture “Detachment”, starring Adrien Brody. Eigsti also appeared on a TV special with Chris Botti, which was part of PBS’s “Great Performances” series. Eigsti has performed with many small ensembles and also has the privilege of composing and conducting music for various symphony orchestras. He has also written a large repertoire of music for jazz and orchestra. The San Jose Chamber Orchestra has several soloists and compositional features. They include the Oakland Symphony and New York Philharmonic. New York Pops includes the Chicago Symphony and Colorado Symphony. Buffalo Orchestra, Buffalo Orchestra and the Buffalo Philharmonic. Boston Youth Symphony and New York Pops also includes the Pittsburgh Symphony and Indianapolis Symphony. San Jose Youth Symphony, Golden State Youth Orchestra. Bear Valley Symphony, Tassajara Symphony and Reno Philharmonic. There are many featured collaborations with the Peninsula Symphony Orchestra.
