Ronnie Foster

Ronnie Foster, born May 12, 1950, is an American soul-jazz and funk organist and record producer. After the rise of acid-jazz, his albums for Blue Note Records have gained a cult following. Foster was born in Buffalo, New York. He has been a sideman for many musicians. Foster was a frequent collaborator with George Benson. He played electric piano and mini-moog on his 1976 album Breezin’. Foster also played organ with Chet atkins, Grant Green, Grover Washington, Jr., Stanley Turrentine, Roberta Flack, Earl Klugh, Harvey Mason, Jimmy Smith, Stevie Wonder, and Stanley Turrentine.
