The Fresh Cut Orchestra, a 10-piece instrumental music ensemble, is led by Josh Lawrence and Jason Fraticelli. It performs the “jazzof tomorrow” (Downbeat) With artist residencies at Philadelphia’s Painted Bride Art Center, Kimmel Center, Philadelphia and performances at Shapeshifter Lab and Nublu, Underground Arts, Philadelphia International, Lancaster Ave jazz festivals and educational workshops at UPenn and Emory, UArts and GSU, the band has become an “underground” success. FCO’s music is a mix of contemporary classical, progressive rock and hip-hop, as well as “straight forward” jazz. This roster features musicians from New York and Philadelphia.
