Jazz musicians have the ability and desire to play a music that has a rich history. It’s not enough just to play the notes. One must also live the music and feel the music with each breath. All of the jazz greats know this. Mack Avenue recording artist Tia Fuller takes up her sax and plays. The room is filled with the sounds and reverberations from her musical elixir. It’s like everything is right in the universe. You can see and hear why Fuller, a teacher and artist with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Spelman College (Magna Cum Laude), and a Master’s in Jazz Pedagogy from the University of Colorado at Boulder, was chosen to join the all-female R tour band.
