Jean-Francois “J.F.” Jean-Francois “J.F.” was Jenny-Clark’s French double bass player. He was born in Toulouse, France, on July 12, 1944, and died in Paris six months later. Aldo Romano, drummer, was his rhythm section in Don Cherry’s 1965 European quintet. He recorded with Steve Lacy and also performed with Keith Jarrett’s group Pork Pie (with Charlie Mariano), around 1970. He was a member Diego Massons’ ensemble Musique Vivante and was interpreting contemporary music compositions from John Cage, Luciano Berio. Mauricio Kagel. Karlheinz Stockhausen. Pierre Boulez. He was a member of the German-French Jazz Ensemble from 1984 to 1987, along with Albert Mangelsdorff.
