Paul Jones, a recent Manhattan School of Music graduate of the Masters program in Jazz Performance, is making his mark in New York City’s music scene. You can see him performing at The Rose Theater at Lincoln Center and Cafe Vivaldi, The Cornelia Street Cafe, Cafe Vivaldi. ShapeShifter Lab and The Bar Next Door. He shared the stage at Manhattan School of Music with Joe Lovano and David Leibman. He recorded recently with Nicky Schrire, the Uptown PartyDown, Live At Rockwood, Mr.. Breakdown, Leon Boykins’ Interval Songs and Matt Davis’ Aerial Photograph City in New York 2013. Yuki Shibata Quartet. Mr. Jones was a finalist at the Julius Keilwerth Saxophone International competition 2014. He performed with Ernie Watts at Chicago’s Jazz Showcase. He performed with St. Lucia, who is signed to Columbia Records. Paul was a full scholarship winner to Amsterdam Conservatory’s Keep An Eye on Jazz program. Berklee College of Music gave him his bachelor’s degree. He was also a scholarship winner. He recorded and toured with Eli “Paperboy”, Reed, and the Trueloves (Capitol Records). He performed with Eli and the Trueloves at Lollapalooza and CMJ in 35 states of the USA, three Canadian provinces, and five European countries.
