Ira Kaspi was born in Helsinki in 1964. The prestigious Berklee College of Music, Boston 1990 was where she graduated. She lived in Stockholm and Brussels for several years during her childhood, where she attended the American International School. Ira decided to continue her education in the United States after these years. After spending four years in Boston, Ira moved to London for a few more years. Even though she had recorded pop songs as a teenager, jazz vocals were Ira’s preferred way to interpret. She was convinced that she would be a jazz singer even at the tender age. Ira Kaspi Jazz Diva band ‘You and the Night and the Music’ is Ira’s seventh album. It also marks her first international Prophone Records release. Her recordings also include duo recordings as well as a CD featuring her own jazz songs that are pop-influenced. You and the Night and the Music includes Iras’JazzDiva Quintet and the Lohja City Symphonic Orchestra. Ira Kaspi Jazz Diva Band, and Ira Kaspi are her main bands.
