Julie Kelly, a fine singer from Los Angeles, studied classical guitar at Oakland City College. In 1970, she lived in Brazil and began performing professionally in 1973. After working as a freelancer in San Francisco, including with John Handy’s band, she moved to Los Angeles in 80 and recorded for Pausa (and CMG). Julie Kelly teaches and performs in L.A. regularly and she took time off from the music industry to focus on these efforts until 2001’s Into the Light. Allmusic
