Kjetil Andremulelid is a creative artist who blends jazz, psalms and improvised music. He was born in Akershus, a small village, and began playing the classical piano when he was a child. He graduated from Jessheim’s high school in 2010. There he was influenced by some great piano teachers, including Morten Reppesgard, Ulrika Magdalena Lin and Jan Terje Augestad. After completing his year at “Hogskolen i Staffeldstgate”, he moved to Trondheim, Norway to complete a bachelor’s in jazz performance at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Jazzlinja. He learned how to use the piano in his own language from the great teachers Erling Aksdal and Vigleik Storaas as well as Espen Berg, Espen Berg, and Eyolf Dale. He also completed the Rytmisk Musickonservatorium master’s program in Copenhagen (DK), where he was accompanied by legendary musicians like Kasper Tranberg and Kresten Osgood. Mulelid has performed concerts and toured extensively in Japan, USA, France, Belgium and most European countries (Scandinavia and Portugal, Spain, France and Belgium), England, Ireland and the Faroe Islands. He was also guided by great musicians such as Kresten Osgood and Kasper Tranberg. Mulelid has collaborated with and played with many great musicians, including Arve Henriksen and Jason Moran, Barry Guy and Kirsti Huke. Mulelid has been a musician freelancer and music teacher since 2015. He also has a degree in pedagogy and has worked at highly regarded music education schools.
