Ivo Neame

Neame was the son of Shepherd Neame, a brewing family from Kent. He was educated at The King’s School in Canterbury and studied jazz saxophone with the Royal Academy of Music, London. He was mentored and taught by Martin Speake, Steve Buckley, and F-IRE Collective founder Barack Schmool. He has performed with such artists as Guy Barker and Julian Siegel, Stan Sulzmann. Matthew Herbert, Jim Mullen and Tim Garland. His trio has performed at jazz festivals as well as venues like Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club or Vortex Jazz Club. Swirls u0026 Eddies, the trio’s debut album was released in 2007. It featured Phil Donkin (bass), and George Hart (drums). The Ivo Neame Quartet album, Caught in Light of Day was released by Ivo Neame Quartet in 2009. It featured Jim Hart (vibes), Jasper Hoiby on bass and James Maddren on drums.
