All-Stars? It’s actually a quartet, with two residents in New York, one from France, and one from Austria. It’s still a great combination, particularly Eric Alexander, tenor saxophonist, and Harold Mabern, pianist. They are unmatched for their sheer intensity and ingenuity, individually and together.
