Known better as Masters at Work, Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez and Lil’ Louis Vega were the dance production group NuYorican Soul. They released an EP in 1996 and a full-length album the following year. NuYorican soul, a fusion of Guru’s jazz-rap fusion Jazzmatazz and newer jazz talents, united jazz legends and celebrated R&B and dance. Most tracks include Latin styles, as per Gonzalez and Vega’s legacy.
