Offset was formed in Mantova in 2010 as a trio. This year, Marcello Abate, the guitarist, and Federico Negri, the drummer, begin to work together with Davide Paulis, the double bass player. While they experiment with sound solutions, they remain true to the standards. The trio’s musicians met Manuel Caliumi, a saxophonist, at the Nuoro Jazz seminars in 2016. The desire to create original music drives the members to a change. Now, the trio has been made a quartet and will start to offer original compositions. Offset will be able to perform at the main festivals/clubs in Emilia Romagna and Lombardia in the next years, as well in the finals for the Marco Tamburini and Stefano Cerri national awards.
