She is confident and poised beyond her years. Miss Perea was the daughter of a Colombian father and a Cuban mom. She was born in Glenridge, New Jersey on September 24, 1987. She learned to dance from the age of six listening to salsa music on her father’s record player. She was singing in church choir at 6 and piano by high school.
