His music blends the energy and immediacy that are characteristic of extreme rock forms and noise with jazz’s forward propulsion and lyricism. He also draws on the abstract details of contemporary classical composers Helmut Lachenmann and Iannis Xenakis. Chris has had the chance to perform/collaborate alongside Tyshawn Sorey (Peter Evans), Brian Chase, Henry Kaiser and Marc Edwards (Brian Seabrook, Marc Edwards), Tim Dahl, Philip White and Guerilla Toss.
