Julian Priester, an American jazz trombonist/composer was born 29 June 1935 in Chicago. He has performed with Sun Ra, Max Roach and John Coltrane. Priester was a student at Chicago’s DuSable High School where he was taught by Walter Dyett. He was a musician who played blues and R in his teens.
