Ernst Reijseger

Ernst Reijseger, a Dutch cellist/composer was born in Bussum on November 13, 1954. He is a jazz and improvised musician, as well as a composer and performs solo concerts. He has collaborated with Louis Sclavis and Derek Bailey, Han Bennink and Misha Mengelberg. He also worked with Franco D’Andrea and Joelle Leandre. He has also done many world music projects with musicians from Argentina, Turkey, Iran and Senegal. He has recorded numerous recordings as a solo cellist or with other groups and was the subject of a documentary. He also wrote scores for many Werner Herzog films. From Wikipedia
