Osian Roberts, a Welshman, was born in 1976. He began playing the saxophone at the age of nine after noticing jazz music on the radio. After showing promise in alto saxophone lessons at school, and getting valuable playing experience alongside older musicians on the Welsh jazz scene’s jazz scene, Osian Roberts moved to London to further his studies. He enrolled in the jazz course at The Royal Academy of Music. He graduated in 1998. He has performed with many top British jazz musicians, including Iain Ballamy and Sir John Dankworth, Peter King, Peter King, Jim Mullen and Mike Carr. In addition to international stars like Claus Raible and George Mraz as well as other great British musicians such as Dave Cliff, Peter King and Peter King. Osian has toured more than 25 countries in his career and even traveled as far as the U.S. for performances. Osian splits his time between the UK, Czech Republic, and the United States. He has four albums on the Hard Bop Records Label. He currently leads a trio, quintet, and quartet with trumpeter Steve Fishwick.
