Norbert Rodenkirchen has been a dedicated artist for more than 25 years. He works to create an artistic dialogue between old sounds and new sounds, from middle age through today. He is a sought-after soloist on the historic transverse flute and a gentle accompagnist in the context of historically informed performance practice. He is also a prolific composer and improviser for experimental archaic music in Cologne’s new music scene. Norbert Rodenkirchen composes music regularly for theatre and TV documentaries. In 2018, he taught medieval improvisation at several music academies. The Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.
