Since he was 30, he has been playing violin for over 30 years. He has performed all types of music from contemporary music to free jazz, improvised and traditional music live as well as in the studio. His primary interest was in contemporary composed and improvised music. His relationship with his instruments is based on sonic as well as textural elements. His early influences were electronic music, which challenged traditional romantic conceptions of the violin/viola. He is active in a variety of settings on the Portuguese scene for free, improvised music. Music for Dance, Cinematography, Video, and Performance.
