Peter Rosendal

Peter Rosendal was born in 1976. He attended the Academy of Music, where he received a diploma as a Music teacher’s diploma. He received his Musician Diploma from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory of Copenhagen in 2001. At the moment, he is a soloist at the same place. He recorded the CD Wondering in 2004 and the CD Live at Copenhagen Jazz House in 2003 under his own name. Each CD contains a mix of original compositions and some standards. Both CDs are extremely popular in Japan. Peter Rosendal recorded the CDs Spring (2001 with folk group ULC Mads Vinding) and CD Masquerade (2003). He arranged the music and created new jazz and folk music mixes at the latter. He also participated in the CD AE Humming Some, Als Show with Sean and Birgitte Freeboe (2002). Peter Rosendal, Live at Copenhagen Jazz House, nominated in 2001 for the year’s jazz name of the year. He also received three awards and Masquerade in 2003. A grant was given by the Danish Arts Foundation to CD Peter Rosendal that year. He was awarded the Silkeborg Music Prize in 1994. He is a composer who composes Peter Rosendal music. First time at Somsuppen the Very Big Band at Academy of Music. He also wrote two contest songs for DGI, the theme song for Youth Olympic Esbjerg.
