Thom Rotella, guitarist and composer, has been a success both commercially and critically. He has released a number of captivating recordings that have been heard on American radio stations. He also has a successful career writing and playing for television and film. Rotella has recorded or performed with many well-known musicians in both jazz and mainstream pop music. This includes Rick Braun and Keiko Matsui as well as Stanley Turrentine and Herbie Hancock. Thom is a composer and has composed music for “Extra”, “Sex and the City,” and “China Beach” as well as for TV Land, The Food Network, and TV Land. He has also created TV commercial jingles for Ford, Goodyear and Chevrolet. Rotella has performed on “The Simpsons”, “Family Guy,” and “American Dad” as well as on “The Tonight Show” (The Tracey Ullman Show) and numerous movie soundtracks such “Same Time Next Year,” “The Gods Must be Crazy,” “Rumblefish” or “Mississippi Masala.” Thom Rotella was raised in Niagara Falls, New York by a musical family. He knew that he wanted to be a musician from the age of eight and started playing in rock bands in highschool. Thom was enrolled at Ithaca College as a Radio Technician.
