Neil Swainson spent two years working in Victoria alongside Paul Horn. In the 1980s, he played frequently with Woody Shaw and also performed with George Coleman, James Moody, and Zoot Sims. Swainson was a member of Moe Koffman’s quintet from 1978-1982. He gained his greatest fame in 1988 when he began working with George Shearing, an association that lasted into the ’90s.
