You don’t need to have money to start a band or win a festival. In 1977, Wojciech Brusek thought the same thing. A few months later, he was able to do it and won many awards along with his friends at the Jazz on the Odra Festival. But not everyone likes Swiadectwo Dojrzalosci. This is an important link in the history and development of Polish jazz-rock. The band modeled itself on the German Passport and presented a fusion that was pleasant to the ear. It was beautifully arranged, played with bravado and featured many guitar and sax solos. Wojciech Brzelik, the band’s leader, invited three experienced rock musicians to join him – Wojciech Morawski, Woriusz Kozakiewicz and Krzysztof Olowski. Also, Szczepan Dudek (a saxophonist who was abducted from jazz), joined them. The supergroup was formed and went to the Jazz on the Odra Festival in the hope of winning it. They followed their plan, despite the anger and resentment expressed by some journalists and listeners. http://gadrecords.pl
