Phil Turcio is Australia’s quietest musician. Phil was born into a musical family and began playing piano at an early age. As a composer, pianist, and producer, he has collaborated with international and local artists. He has also written hits for Australian Idols as well as icons. Phil is a versatile musician who has been able to compose music for the Sydney Olympics 2000 and World Youth Day 2008. He also plays with international artists and creates television themes. Hugh Jackman and Olivia Newton John are just a few of his credits. Lang, Dave Weckl and Will Kennedy. On his recent Australian tour, he toured with Larry Carlton’s group. Phil has appeared on numerous Australian television programs over the years including Hey Hey it’s Saturday and Carols by Candlelight. In 2008, Phil and his band Hemispheres’ were nominated to a Grammy for ‘Best New Contemporary Jazz Band’.
