Joe Turner, born November 3, 1907 and died July 21, 1990. He was an American jazz pianist. Joseph H. Turner was born on November 3, 1907 in Baltimore, Maryland. Turner was a master of stride piano and was hired by the Benny Carter Orchestra in 1928. He played with Louis Armstrong. He settled in Europe after World War II and lived in Paris since 1962.
