Uniting Of Opposites, a new musical venture by Tim Liken and Clem Alford, brings together a melting pot culture and inspiration. The group signed to Tru Thoughts in 2018 and have used new technology to combine aspects from all musical genres. The ‘Ancient Lights,’ an English property law that allows home owners to receive natural lighting, is the name of the LP, which was released on 18 May by Tru Thoughts. It brings together animal musical forces and expresses the fluidity that is at the core of Uniting of Opposites. Tokio Ayoama, a Japanese artist who Dazed described as “a modern-day surrealist, inspired from everyone from Salvador Dali and Sun Ra”, channels this vibe into his hand-painted artwork. The Uniting of Opposites was founded when Ben Hazleton, a jazz lover, met Clem Aford. He began studying classical Indian music to open his ears to new rhythmic and melodic possibilities. Tim Liken, a lover of all styles of music, joined forces to create Uniting of Opposites, a platform that allows worlds to come together. Eddie Hick (Sons of Kemet and Roots Manuva), Omar Puente, Dave Walsh (Ronnie Bottomley, Ruby Rushton, Lucky Ranku), Ronnie Walsh (Ronnie Walsh, Ronnie Bottomley), on drums, Idris Rasman (Soothsayers) on clarinet, Manjeet Singh Rasiya (Bheki Msieleku) on tabla, and Marcina Arnold (Bheki Msieleku) on vocals of Marcina Arnold) (Bheki Msieleku).
