AIR CANDA, an instrumental quartet from Saint-Petersburg, describes their music as “new-wave of prog-fusion or post-jazz-rock”. It was formed in 2009, and made a memorable performance at the 18th annual SKIF festival (SPb) in May 2013. They drew on inspirations from 70’s British jazz-rock and avant-garde, prog-rock, classical music, American experimental rock, Japanese math-rock, and classical music to create their own intricate, dynamic and elastic instrumental music.
