Alain Caron, a Canadian jazz musician, was born in Saint-Eloi (Quebec), the youngest of eleven children. He is considered one of the most accomplished 6-string bass guitarists. He learned his musical skills through correspondence lessons with Charlie Banacos (jazz improvisation teacher) and by taking a Berklee College of Music summer session. He joined Michel Cusson’s 1977 group that would become known as Uzeb. The group was led by Paul Brochu drums and Michel Cusson guitar. Caron started releasing concept albums in 1993 as Le Band: 1993 Rhythm ‘n Jazz – 1995 Play – 1997 Call Me Al. – 2000 5, 2003 Conversations – 2007. He also performed with Leni Stern.
