Alexis Cole

Alexis Cole is often referred to as “one of the greatest voices of today”. She has been compared with classic jazz singers like Anita O’Day and Sarah Vaughan. People of all ages love her rich voice and innovative interpretations. Cole has been awarded a Swing Journal Gold Disk Award and won the NY Jazzmobile as well as the Montreux Jazz Festival vocal competitions. She records for Motema Music in New York. She records for Motema Music, NY. and Venus Records Japan. Her recordings featuring musical luminaries like Fred Hersch and Eric Alexander, Matt Wilson and Harry Pickens have been highly praised by jazz journalists and broadcast on radio worldwide. She has performed at many top jazz venues such as Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Oak Room, Blues Alley and Billboard Live. She’s also been a featured soloist at Avery Fisher Hall and the NY Philharmonic Brass. Alexis received her voice and piano training at William Paterson University and Queens College. She also holds a Masters of Music degree. She was also trained at the Jazz India Vocal Institute, Mumbai in Indian Classical singing. She is the West Point Band Jazz Knights’ full-time jazz singer.
