Alice Zawadski

Alice Zawadzki, vocalist, violinist and composer, is an “individual and distinctive presence” in the London creative music scene. Her music draws on influences from her early exposures to New Orleans gospel and soul, classical training, and exploration of world and spontaneous music. She is a storyteller and her music is always in the forefront of her performances. Alice began her journey to jazz at the age of twelve when she heard Lillian Boutte from New Orleans. She was her mentor and took Alice on tour with her as a backing singer by the age of 15. She has performed at many of the UK’s major venues and festivals since then with her own band, as well as being a collaborator in some UK’s most creative ensembles.
