Allison Neale, an American altoist, has beautifully crafted lines that recall Art Pepper and Paul Desmond. She is a strong supporter of the West Coast melodic style and has performed with international stars such as Bud Shank, Adelaide Hall, and Scott Hamilton. Her current Quartet includes Leon Greening, bassist Julian Bury, drummer Steve Brown, and jazz pianist Leon Greening. She has two CDs, ‘Melody Express,’ which she recorded with guitarist Dave Cliff, and ‘Blue Concept,’ with Gary Kavanagh, both available on 33 Records. Her latest CD, “I Wished on The Moon”, is due to be released on January 15, 2015 by Trio Records. It features both the quartet and Milt Jackson-influenced vibraphonist Nat Steele.
