Andreas Schickentanz resides in Bruxelles, Belgium since April 2005. He is the winner of the 1. prize “Jugend jazzt”,1982/84. – studies in Cologne (Staatl. Musikhochschule Koln), with Jiggs Whigham. – Recorded with the Schickentanz Quintett on the radio stations Bayerischer Rundfunk WDR and Bayerischer Rundfunk WDR. – Various performances in the USA, Soviet Union, Tunisia etc… – Played with the Big Bands of WDR, HR, NDR. – played with Markus Stockhausen, Lee Konitz, Silvia Droste, Paul Heller… – member of the Cologne Contemporary Jazz Orchestra from http://www.jazzinbelgium.com
