Andy Scott has been a musician all his life and has over 25 years of experience in initiating creative projects. Scott is a versatile contemporary musician with a unique saxophonic/compositional voice. He incorporates elements from jazz, world, and contemporary classical music. Recent highlights include the World Premiere of Andy’s Tenor Saxophone Concerto at The World Saxophone Congress, performed by Branford Marsalis, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra under Clark Rundell, tours with the Apollo Saxophone Quartet, SaxAssault, including sell-out concerts in London Jazz Festival, residencies at the USA and a PRSF New Music Biennial Commission for Foden’s Band, harpist Lauren Scott, and soprano Anna Clare Monk, led by Michael Fowles. Andy has been multi-nominated for and won a prestigious British Composer Award from the BASCA. June 2016 will see the release of Andy Scott’s SaxAssault CD in studio, titled ‘Ruby’.
